The SHES Enrichment Experience for 2024-2025: A Comprehensive Guide for Parents

At Sag Harbor Elementary School (SHES), we are thrilled to offer a rich and diverse Enrichment Experience for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students throughout the 2024-2025 school year. This program goes beyond the regular school day, allowing students to explore areas that spark their curiosity and develop skills in science, arts, sports, and more. Here's everything you need to know about this year's offerings.

What is the SHES Enrichment Experience?

The SHES Enrichment Experience is designed to give students the opportunity to delve deeper into areas of interest. Whether it's through science experiments, artistic expression, or strategic games, these activities foster creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and personal growth.

The clubs take place either before or after school, and each student can sign up for three clubs across the school year. While space is limited, SHES works to ensure that every student has the chance to participate in at least one of these enrichment opportunities.

Important Details

  • Clubs are split into three sessions, each lasting eight weeks:

    • Session 1: October 7 – December 13

    • Session 2: January 6 – March 14

    • Session 3: March 24 – May 23

  • If your child is in 4th or 5th grade and plays an instrument, they will automatically be enrolled in Band, Orchestra, or Guitar. These do not require additional sign-up, and your child will receive more details directly from Ms. Locascio (Band) or Mr. Fox (Orchestra and Guitar.)
